This was our first meet for the Western Alamance Girls to have a scoring team. In fact, all four teams ran with enough girls to have each school score points. Our first place girl was Allie Quinn with a time of 24:15 taking 4th place of the 25 girls running. Jules Marlow ran in at 27:52 grabbing 9th followed by Annalyn Hall in 12th place with a time of 31:56. The return of Blanca Pacheco (32:24, 13th) and Ericka Rodriguez (32:24, 14th) rounded out the WA team to capture 2nd place (Person-49, WA-52, EA-54 and Morehead-60.)The Girls had a time spread of 8.11 minutes from Allie to Ericka. This is one of our lowest spreads for the girls.

Western Alamance Boys had 15 runners in the meet on Tuesday, more than enough to fill a Varsity and JV team. Our first runner this week was Andrew Brokes. Andrew managed to narrowly capture 3rd by one second with a time of 18:59Tyler Journigan was next in 6th place at 19:55 followed by Bruce Porter in 10th with a time of 20:33Micah Long reclaimed his position of Varsity runner four, coming in 13th at 21:19Bobby Cox was WA's fifth point-getter this meet and had a time of 21:41 in 15th place. Our two varsity displacer runners, Luke Booth with 21:54 (17th) and Aaron Roman in at 22:08 (19th), were key in pushing Person's last point-getter deeper in the field.

Dmitri McKinney kept his streak of being the first JV runner for WA, placing 20th overall with a time of 22:20. Right behind him were Nate Simpson at 22:38 (21st) and Bryton Wolff with 23:03 (22nd). Sam Goras ran 23:35 (24th) in his second race of the season. A trio of WA; Thaddaeus Cook (25:15), Steven Sandoval (25:16) and Jacob Brandhoefer (25:20), came in 28th, 29th and 30th. Rounding out our team was Logan Hearn racing in at 28:20. The Boys had a total of 33 runners at the meet this week, but only 3 full teams were present. Although WA had the most boys in the meet, we missed taking second place by 4 points (Eastern Alamance 36, Person 42 and Western Alamance 46).
